Chulu West (6,584m) is a climbing peak located above Manang Valley, offering amazing views of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak, and Manaslu. The climb is physically challenging and ideal for trekkers who have prior mountaineering experience. It typically follows the Annapurna Circuit trail before heading off toward the Chulu West Base Camp. The ascent includes glaciers, climbing on snow, and dealing with high-altitude conditions, making proper acclimatization, technical skills, and the right gear crucial for a safe and successful summit.

This peak serves as the training mountain for the climbers planning to summit mountains over 7000+ meters. Climbing Chulu West also teaches important skills like planning the trip, working with a team, and dealing with changing mountain weather. Because of this, it’s a great practice climb before trying harder and higher peaks in the Himalayas and other mountain ranges.

The journey begins on the famous Annapurna Circuit trek before veering off into a remote valley to establish a base camp, far from the more crowded trails. The ascent to the
