The 14-day Dhampus Peak Climbing expedition offers an unforgettable adventure in Nepal’s Dhaulagiri and Annapurna regions. The journey blends high-altitude trekking through charming Thakali villages, forests, and alpine pastures with a summit push to Dhampus Peak (6,012 m). Graded PD (Peu Difficile), this climb is ideal for trekkers with basic mountaineering skills seeking a Himalayan peak experience without advanced technical challenges. From the summit, climbers enjoy panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche, and the Annapurna ranges.

The package covers all permits (ACAP, TIMS, climbing permit), professional guides, porters, meals, and accommodations in teahouses and tented camps. The itinerary begins in Kathmandu, continues to Pokhara and Tatopani, and ascends through Ghasa, Marpha, Yak Kharka, and Thapa Pass before the summit on Day 10, with a gradual descent via Kalopani and Tatopani back to Kathmandu. This expedition combines cultural immersion, natural beauty, and the thrill of Himalayan climbing for a truly rewarding adventure.

Overview

Mera Peak (6,476 meters / 21,247 feet) is the highest climbing peak in Nepal, officially classified by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). It is located in the Khumbu region, south of Everest, and offers climbers a stunning opportunity to summit a peak with relatively less technical difficulty compared to other high-altitude peaks.

From the top of Mera Peak, you can enjoy one of the best panoramic views in the Himalayas, including five of the world's highest peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. The breathtaking view from the summit will make your Mera Peak climbing once in a lifetime moment.

The climb is considered non-technical, and it is the perfect fit for trekkers with basic mountaineering skills. While the ascent involves the use of equipment like crampons and ropes, it does not require advanced climbing experience. The real challenge lies in the altitude and the physical endurance required to reach the summit. The journey typically begins with a scenic flight to Lukla, followed by a trek through beautiful forests and remote Sherpa villages.

Note

This forest and mountain trail has a moderate difficulty rating. Proper preparation and fitness are essential.

Best season for this adventure is Spring and Autumn. Weather conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
